Virginia B. Hemelt, M.D.

Dr. Virginia B. Hemelt is a native Southerner with Cajun roots. She grew up in New Orleans, then spent 13 years in Houston where she attended Rice University and the University of Texas School at Houston.

After moving to St. Louis in 1993, she completed her neurology residency at Washington University. She then obtained specialized training in neuromuscular disorders at the Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic at Washington University.

Dr. Hemelt is board certified in neurology.

Dr. Hemelt enjoys book clubs, playing the piano and spending time with her husband and three daughters.
